Sophie’s Story
A Lifeline to Safety and a New Beginning
When Sophie (not her real name) arrived at Jericho Road Ministries, she carried nothing but the clothes she was wearing. She had fled a violent, abusive situation and, to escape safely, had been forced to leave everything behind. Shaken and unsure where to turn next, she simply asked for help getting to relatives who could offer shelter and protection.
Because of your generosity, she wasn’t alone.
Jericho Road staff helped Sophie make calls to reach her family. When they welcomed her to come, our team immediately arranged the quickest travel option available. They purchased the bus ticket and ensured a trusted friend could meet Sophie so she wouldn’t be left waiting alone.
Before she left, staff provided food for the journey and spent time praying with her – offering comfort, encouragement, and the assurance that God saw her and was walking with her.
Your support didn’t just help Sophie travel. It helped her move from fear to safety, from crisis to the hope of a new beginning.
Thank you for making it possible for neighbors like Sophie to find help and hope when they need it most.
